Manual
A Windows app for reviewing photos, shaping the order and layout, and exporting a contact sheet. v0.1.0 · Available on the Microsoft Store.
Quick start
- Launch Photo Proof Sheet.
- Choose Add Photos or Add Folder and load JPG, JPEG, or PNG files. You can also drag them into the drop area.
- Review thumbnails, filenames, sizes, and available capture dates in the image list.
- Use sorting, drag-and-drop, or the move buttons to set the output order.
- Choose paper, orientation, columns, margins, spacing, labels, and output format.
- Choose Export and select the save location.
Features and controls
Remove from the list
Select image cards and press Remove to take only those items out of the working list. Clear all empties the list. Neither action changes the source files.
Sort by size or capture date
Use the sort menu for ascending or descending filename, capture-date, or file-size order. Images without a readable capture date are placed last in capture-date sorting. Items with equal values keep their current order.
Drag to reorder
Drag an image card to another position. When you want to keep the custom order, return the sort menu to Current order. The order is used by the preview and export.
Adjust the layout
- Paper: A4 or Letter
- Orientation: Portrait or Landscape
- Columns: 3, 4, or 6
- Margins and cell spacing: Standard or Narrow
- Labels: toggle filename, number, and page number independently
Export
Choose PDF, PNG, or JPEG. The app writes to a temporary file before committing the result, and does not overwrite an existing output. If the destination cannot be written, check permissions and free space.
Language and theme
Use the language button in the header to switch Japanese and English. The theme button switches light and dark mode. These preferences are stored on the device.
Troubleshooting
Photos will not add
Confirm the file is JPG, JPEG, or PNG and can be read. Unsupported or damaged files are not added to the list.
No capture date appears
The image may not contain capture-date metadata, or it may not be readable. It will sort last by capture date; filename and size sorting remain available.
Export is disabled
Add at least one image. Also check the output format, destination, Windows write permission, and free space.
The preview is hard to read
Change orientation, columns, margins, or spacing. Hiding labels can give images more room.
Privacy policy
Photo Proof Sheet reads selected images on the user's Windows PC for thumbnails, metadata, and contact-sheet generation. It does not automatically upload images, source files, or exported files to a developer server. No account, advertising, behavioral analytics, or custom backend is used.
Data handled
- Image data selected by the user
- Filename, file size, dimensions, and an available capture date
- Output destination plus the in-app language and theme preference
Original photos are not deleted, moved, or overwritten. Output files are saved to the location selected by the user. The Windows WebView2 runtime remains subject to the platform's own diagnostics and update handling.
